Lullaby of 42nd Street
April 25 - May 23, 2010

In 1933, Warner Bros. released the first blockbuster film musical - 42nd Street, featuring songs by Harry Warren. Following that success, Warren went on to write the music for over 800 songs, many of which appeared in over 300 films. In the 1980s, the film 42nd Street was transformed into the quintessential stage musical of the same title.

Nearly 70 years after Harry Warren's first blockbuster success, we celebrate his songs, songs that became the sountrack of the 1930s and '40s. James Wright, Julie O'Rourke, Lauren Braton and Molly Hammer (as pictured left to right in the top photo) perform favorites such as "I Got a Gal in Kalamazoo," "Chattanooga Choo Choo," "You'll Never Know" and "You Must Have Been a Beautiful Baby," plus songs from 42nd Street, including "Lullaby of Broadway," We're in the Money" and, of course, the title song.

In addition to our four dynamite vocalists, our combo will be back, with J. Kent Barnhart at the piano and on the mic, plus Steve Lenhert on bass and Ken Remmert on drums.
