Kansas City's holiday tradition returns for another season of Christmas memories! Join Quality Hill Playhouse for the show The Pitch calls "Kansas City's most consistently stirring Christmas show for 15 years" (CLICK HERE to read the review).
Director and arranger J. Kent Barnhart has carefully selected songs that uniquely suit each performer – music ranging from traditional to jazz to Broadway. This year’s production includes new settings of familiar tunes (“Silent Night”, “O Holy Night”), a pair of country songs (“A Cradle in Bethlehem”, “When the River Meets the Sea”), a jazzy four-hand piano version of “God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen”, familiar sacred and secular tunes ("Carol of the Bells," "Go Tell It on the Mountain," the Carpenters' "Merry Christmas, Darling") and songs from the musical version of A Christmas Carol, reminding us of the power of redemption and the importance of keeping the spirit of Christmas all year long.
Previous Christmas in Song performers Amy Coady (2007) and Elaine Fox (2006, 2008) are teamed with Playhouse newcomer Cary Mock for this year's production. The talented trio is joined by Barnhart as pianist and emcee.
